Ever since Shrouded Sky landed, I keep hearing squads whisper about the Controlled Access Zone on Dam Battlegrounds. It sits southwest of the Power Generation Complex, and it's not the kind of place you "quickly check" on the way out. You'll want a plan, and you'll probably want to know what you're missing before you drop in—gear choices matter, same as your stash of ARC Raiders Items when you're trying to brute-force a bad situation without burning half your meds.
Getting Through The Shell
The first fight isn't even against other players, it's the dam itself. The approach is awkward and vertical, and you'll often end up slipping in through busted grates or climbing ladders that feel like they were placed to get you shot. Most runs, the safest path is the lower walkways under the main structure, then up and around once you're actually inside. You'll spot the big locked door pretty quickly—four lights on it, like it's daring you to guess. Don't waste time. Go downstairs and find the Fuel Cell, then drag it up to the power terminal. It's heavy, it slows you down, and it makes you a loud target, so have someone watch angles while you haul it.
The Button Timing Problem
Powering the place opens a side room with one of the buttons, and that's where the arguing starts. The four door lights match four buttons scattered around the zone, and they don't spawn in the same places every raid. You'll find them on catwalks, tucked behind pipes, or sitting at the end of a stair run that's way more exposed than you'd like. The catch is simple and brutal: all four must be pressed at the same time. If one person hits early, it resets. In theory, three cracked players can bounce between close spawns. In reality, you want four people on comms doing a clean countdown and sticking to their lanes.
Repairing The Last Gate
When the door finally slides open, don't celebrate yet. There's usually a busted control panel blocking the vault area, and it wants materials before it'll cooperate. One raid it'll ask for Metal Parts and an Industrial Battery, then the next it's Wires, ARC Power Cells, or some weird unit you haven't seen all night. If you're serious about running this puzzle, bring a small "repair kit" habit into your loadout, or at least loot the nearby industrial corners before you commit. Getting stuck at the finish line feels worse than failing the buttons.
Loot, Pressure, And Getting Out
Once the panel's fixed, the reward room is the real deal: weapon crates, high-value gear, and enough temptation to make you linger. Don't. The noise, the sprinting, the comms chatter—other squads notice, and they love showing up right as you're sorting bags. Grab what matters, call an extract route, and move like you're already being tracked. If you're missing one key component and don't want to gamble another raid, it can help to top up through U4GM since it's known for quick delivery and a broad selection for players trying to keep their runs consistent.
